As an international student you need a student visa, with an F1 student visa visa you are entitled to study in America over a period of five years and obtain a (bachelor’s) degree from an American university.
Should you want to get your master’s degree at a U.S. university, you often also need an F1 student visa. You may also need a J1 student visa for this purpose.
To qualify for a U.S. student visa, you are required to go through several procedures. You must submit certain documents and supporting documents with the application and go for an interview at the consulate in Amsterdam for a visa interview. If everything is in order, you can pick up the visa at the Dutch embassy or it will be sent to you.
