Alina Vallentgoed

Alina is a highly driven and talented middle distance athlete with an unwavering commitment to excellence who has loved running from a very young age. It all started when she was just eight years old and won her first local race. She was surprised by a TV program that came to her school to honor her with a trophy, and from that moment on, she knew she had found her passion.

At the age of 9 Alina joined the local club team AV Haarlemmermeer in Hoofddorp. The first years at the club Alina was training multiple events, but later decided to focus on her strongest capability - (mid) distance events. Her dedication to running has helped her steadily improve her PBs over the years. She is a disciplined and determined athlete, and her perseverance is one of her greatest strengths.

Alina’s current PBs are:

800m: 2:26,13 (2023)

1500m: 4:59,34 (2023)

3000m: 11:06,09 (2023)

5k road: 18:47min (2023)

2k steeple chase: 7:35,87 (2023)

3k steeple chase: 12:00,44 (2023)

Alina has a dream of competing for a college track team in the USA. She is eager to continue developing as a middle long distance runner primarily focusing on XC and working with a team of motivated athletes who share her passion for running. Alina's goal is to perform at the highest level both academically and athletically, and she is determined to achieve this by pushing herself to new limits in her training and competition and aims to leave her mark on the college track scene.

Interesting fact about Alina – she is one of the identical triplets.
