Annelein van Urk

On the tennis court, Annelein exhibits remarkable composure, maintaining a calm demeanor even in challenging situations or when faced with a deficit. Her mental strength is evident, as it is difficult to provoke any signs of frustration or anger. Annelein's preferred approach involves constructing points from a defensive position at the baseline, and she is determined to enhance this aspect further during her college tennis tenure by adding more pressure to her strokes. Concurrently, she has set her sights on improving her overall fitness, having already initiated running sessions in her place of residence, Leusden.

Having been part of her local club, LTV Randenbroek, since the age of 6, Annelein boasts a successful record with victories in numerous singles and doubles tournaments. Her extensive experience in team play is reflected in her regular participation in the tennis competition, contributing to mixed teams.

Beyond her tennis pursuits, Annelein is not only seeking additional tennis experience but also looking to contribute academically. Armed with a Cambridge certificate, she is eager to tackle extra challenges at the University level. Annelein has already showcased her academic prowess by participating in the U-Talent Program at Utrecht University, demonstrating a well-rounded commitment to both athletic and intellectual pursuits.
