Arthur Happel

Arthur currently trains at A.T.C. Sloterplas and A.L.T.C. Joy Jaagpad, he also competes for Joy Jaagpad. Arthur is mainly active at regional and national tournaments and in multiple Dutch club leagues.

Arthur started playing tennis at a serious level at the age of 12. In his Juniors Arthur was ranked inside the top #100 of his age category. He played a lot of national junior tournaments, and even won some of them. 

His one-handed backhand is one of his weapons. He likes to dictate points from the baseline and use his physique to outwork opponents. Arthur is strong and very fast. He is a great defender.

During this time in the US, he wants to improve his serve to serve harder and with more placement. He hopes that his serve will give him more free points in the future. Overall, he hopes to become a better tennis player and earn a degree that sets him up for a solid future.

Arthur is currently in high school, in the highest level in The Netherlands (VWO). He expects to graduate in June 2024. He is mostly interested in studying economics, business or something related.
