Bram van Druten

Bram is currently training with his local club team AV Olympus’70, having started his journey about four years ago. For the past two years, he's been under the guidance of a professional coach and has shown significant progress, securing a 3rd place at the Dutch National Championships U20 in the 1500m (2022).

Bram's strengths lie in his power and competitiveness. He's a strong athlete who pushes his limits and performs well in competitive races. However, there are areas he's working on, such as discipline, running form, and aerobic capacity. Currently, his weekly training volume is around 30-40k, and he's on the lookout for a track coach to help him gradually increase his mileage while focusing on injury prevention.

His current personal bests are as follows:

- 800m: 1:56.49 (2023)

- 1500m: 3:51.52 (2023)

- 5000m: 14:23.46 (2023)

Bram’s height is 1,92m (6’4) and he weighs 84,5kg (186 lbs). 

His primary goal in the United States is to consistently make progress and contribute to his collegiate team. Over the past two years, he has notably improved his 5000m PB from 16:23 to 14:23 and his 1500m from 4:23 to 3:51. While he dreams of competing at the European Championships, his short-term goals for the upcoming season include breaking the sub-14-minute barrier in the 5k and achieving a 1500m time of 3:45.

Having finished high school, Bram is currently in his first year of studying International Business at the Hague University of Applied Sciences.
