Daia Neerhof

Daia Neerhof currently plays for Gemini, in the Dutch promotie klasse, as an outside hitter. Daia has a natural gift for passing. Her platform to get the ball to the setter is a talent. Her understanding of the backcourt, defensively helps her create opportunities to make the side-out.

Daia started playing volleyball when she was just six years old, starting at a local club. She joined Gemini at the beginning of the 22-23 season, to play at a higher level.

In her Junior years, Daia also trains at a volleyball school, with other talented volleyball players, improving her game. 

One of her biggest strengths is her motivation, Daia will always give everything for her team. She is steady in passing and knows where her teammates are. 

During her time in college, she wants to improve her blocking skills and attacking skills. To grow as a volleyball player overall. 

Daia is currently in her last year of high school, in the HAVO level, the second highest level of high school in the Netherlands. She expects to graduate in June 2023. She is planning to take a gap year and start in 2024 as a freshman. Daia has not decided what she wants to major in.
