Eva Boogers

Level

Eva plays for HC Naarden U18-1, competing at one the highest level in the Dutch youth competition.

She has always played for the first team throughout her entire youth career. She loves competing at the highest level as it challenges her to train hard. She knows that in order to be the best, you have to play against the best. On top of that, she was also chosen as “Woman of the Year” by her club.

Playing Style

Eva is a smart player who knows to keep her calm during pressure. She has great insight on the field and is vocal. She loves to communicate with her teammates and creates peace from the back. She is strong on the ball and knows how to delay an attacker and not get eliminated. Eva is versatile and can play in different positions. She also has experience playing in midfield and is great at distributing the ball. She is calm on the ball and always looks before she passes. She is a creative player who isn't afraid to play forward.  

Extra curricular

Eva has always been a great athlete. She used to combine field hockey with sailing. She was a great sailor, competing nationally and internationally with her racing team. She is a true athlete that knows what it means to work hard and put in the effort to get the results. She eventually had to fully focus on field hockey as there was no way to combine both sailing and field hockey at such a high level anymore. She chose field hockey as it is her passion.

On top of that, Eva is also passionate about her school and traveling. For the last two years, Eva is one of the two representatives in her high school council, which consists of 2 student parents, 2 students, teachers and the school board. She also went to multiple international camps (CISV) across the world to learn about different cultures. One year, she was a participant, the other she was allowed to serve as a junior counselor. Eva is very mature and assertive, she is a true leader that knows what she wants and will have a huge impact no matter where she goes.

Academics

Eva is a great student. She is expected to graduate at the highest educational level in the Netherlands (VWO) in June, 2024. She is planning on taking her Duolingo this upcoming year. She is undecided on her major. Her GPA is 3.77.

Eva is looking forward to playing in the U.S. and wants to make a big positive impact on her team starting in the Fall of 2024.
