Eva van der Kooi

Level

Eva currently plays in Groningen U18-1. Throughout her career, she has always played at one of the highest levels of youth hockey (Landelijk/Super/Topklasse). In addition to playing a high level of youth hockey, Eva has been doing extra training sessions with the Women 2 team since she was 14. This team plays at the highest level for second teams.

Playing style

Eva is a skilful midfielder/defender with a great vision en high hockey IQ, able to think ahead and coach her teammates. Eva can easily control a difficult pass and deliver a powerful pass. Due to her strong technical skills, the accuracy in her passing is exceptional. This can also be seen in her shot on goal, as both her backhand and forehand are powerful. Practicing with the Women 2 team has also really allowed her to develop physically, preparing her well for college hockey.

Academics

Eva a highly motivated student in her fifth year of VWO (highest level of Dutch high school) and will be graduating in June 2024. She is eager to be challenged academically, as well as athletically in college.
