Currently, Hidde is also part of the Dutch National Team U20 and played at the WEVZA and several other tournaments over the last months. 

Hidde uses his height well, as well as in attacking and blocking.  He has a great timing which he uses to set up a strong block and hits sharper corners of the field. In addition, he moves very quickly sideways along the net so that he uses his length of arms to close the block. His float serve also gets some serious speed to attack various positions. 

During his time in the States, Hidde wants to improve his overall volleyball level and become the best volleyball player he can be. We believe within the right environment and with some good coaching, Hidde has the qualities to develop as a big college volleyball player. 

Hidde graduated high school in June 2023, in the HAVO level, the second highest level of high school in The Netherlands. He is currently enrolled in his first year of college, majoring in (sport) marketing, management. He will have 4 years of eligibility remaining.
