Imme Pronk

Level

Imme has shown huge improvement of her level of play in the last few years. She started off her playing career at the lower teams of her club, but through hard work and great perseverance, Imme moved her way up to the Alkmaar U18-1 team, and has been playing at one of the higher levels of Dutch youth hockey (Subtop/Eerste Klasse) ever since.

Playing style

Imme is a smart and attacking minded forward/midfielder who excels on the right side of the field but can play any position on the forward or midfield line. She likes to attack the baseline with speed while keeping an eye up to find open teammates in the circle. Imme understands when to hold onto the ball/eliminate and when to speed up the pace of the game through quick passes. She understands the game well, allowing her to often receive the ball in dangerous attacking situations.  Imme loves to learn, and understands what’s needed to become a better player every practice and game. Imme is intent on studying the game and communicating with her coaches and teammates to excel as a unit.

Academics

Imme is a very strong student at the highest level of Dutch high school (VWO - Gymnasium). She upholds a 3.98 GPA throughout junior year while taking additional, high level, courses. Imme scored 1270 on her first attempt of the SAT and will be taking the Duolingo in the Winter of 2023/2024.

Additional information/extra curricular activities

Last year, Imme was selected to a 20 person group from her school to volunteer in Gambia for which she raised a significant amount of money. She has also been selected to a group of top 10 students from her school to participate in a science trip to Switzerland. Additionally, Imme took it upon herself to organized her own floorball (unihockey) team at her high school to participate in the Olympic Moves tournament, captaining her team to the national finals.
