About Ioannis Sakkas

Ioannis has a very creative style of play that is full of talent.  His loose hands allow him to play from all areas of the court.  He excels at the net and is deft in both singles and doubles at finishing there.  He has a great foundational serve that allows him free points and situations in which he is able to finish the point early on.  He desires to play for a coach and team who have high goals and a desire for continued development. He is very much looking forward to going to the US for the opportunity to play a lot of team matches and compete as much as possible for his university.

Ioannis will finish his high school in June 2025 and is therefore looking to connect with coaches June 15th.  He has received high marks thus far and expects to have a 3.5+ GPA upon graduation.  He looks to enroll at an institution in Fall 2025 and is interested in studying Business with a possible concentration in Sport Management.

One of Giannis’ great strengths as an addition to your team is he is already accustomed to a heavy student-athlete schedule.  Due to his school (The American College of Greece) being the best academic option in Greece (very selective academically) and since it follows the principles of American high schools, Giannis has been molded to manage his time very well to be able to excel both on and off the court.  He wakes early to make sure he has time for his practices and is willing to do what it takes to make sure he has enough time on the court.  We foresee an easy transition for him into the US university system.
