Isa van de Zand

LevelIsa currently plays for the women’s team at Utrechtse Rugby Club in the first division. Throughout her career, she has always stood out and has been competing at the highest level.At just 15 years old, she made her debut for the Dutch U18 and eventually the Dutch national team. She competed in major tournaments. She also competed with the FRN, a club in London, at the Hong Kong best of 10s in the world. She was also named player of the tournament twice with the FRN at the London International Tournament (2019 & 2023) and won the tournament with her team. Isa’s international experience and winning-mentality are what makes her stand-out and she cannot wait to make an impact in the U.S. college rugby scene.Playing styleIsa is a fast backline player with great agility. She uses her agility and finesse to maneuver through her opponents, creating opportunities for her team. She isn’t afraid to work hard and is dedicated to becoming the best player she can possibly be. Her acceleration allows her to get to her top speed quickly. She beats her opponents with her speed and quick feet. She isn’t afraid to put in the work, showcasing her determination to do whatever it takes to win the game.AcademicsIsa is a motivated student and follows the MBO track. Her focus is on Sport and Exercise and Retail Management.  She will be graduating in June 2024.
