Jip has played at the highest levels of Dutch youth hockey (Landelijk) for most of her playing career. During the 2023-2024 season Jip played for Hurley U16-1 in the National League (Landelijk). During the 2024-2025 season, Jip will be joining a high level senior (18+) team to challenge herself more.

Jip is a talented goalkeeper with great reflexes. She is a strong line keeper and excels in leg saves on shots. Jip also has the ability to read the play, come out for strong 1v1 challenges or intercept dangerous plays before they become true opportunities. She has a commanding precedence in the D and is strong in defending scrums around her cage. Jip prides herself for her strong performances in important games and being able to stay calm and perform under pressure.

Over the years, Jip has been a regular member of the Dutch (regional) youth team pipelines. During the 2023-2024 season, Jip was a member of the Dutch U16 team training squad with three other goalkeepers. During the 2022-2023 season, Jip was selected to the regional U15 team, allowing her to practice with the best players of her age group. Only 8 goalkeepers are selected to the regional teams nationwide. During the 2021-2022 season, Jip was also selected to the U14 regional team.

Jip was an integral part of her 2023-2024 U16-1 team’s run to the U16 Indoor National Championship match. She also helped her U14-1 team place 6th at the National Championships in the 2021-2022 season.

Jip is a very motivated and strong student. She is expected to graduate at the highest educational level in the Netherlands (VWO/Gymnasium) in June, 2026. Jip will be be taking (her first attempt of) the SAT in Fall 2024.

Jip loves spreading her love for the game and has been coaching youth teams for a couple of years now. She’s the head coach of a talented U12 team at her club and provides practices for them (three per week), as well as game day coaching (once per week).

Jip is looking forward to joining a strong academic program and becoming an integral member of the defensive unit of her team. She’s excited to learn from her coaches and teammates and cannot wait to make a big positive impact on her team starting in the Fall of 2026.
