Level

Jolie currently plays for HC Derby U18-1 in the Subtopklasse, the third highest level of youth hockey in The Netherlands. Ever since she was 12, Jolie has always been selected for the first selection teams of her club. Allowing her to play with the best players of her age group and improve tremendously every year.

Playing style

Jolie is a tall (5’8) forward with a long reach and a strong, accurate hit. She knows how to use her height to shield the ball from her opponents and her speed, in combination with skills, to eliminate defenders. Jolie has great awareness and tries to play with her eyes up. This results in quick ball handeling and distributing (simple) passes that can change the pace of the game. Jolie prides herself for being a coachable player. She listens to her coaches and teammates to position herself and is very bought in with her coaches’ vision and game plan. 

Academics

Jolie  is expected to graduate Dutch high school (HAVO) in June 2025. She’s planning on taking in the fall of 2024. 

Additional information

Jolie participated in a high level tournament in France with her club team in 2021 and finished third. She’s been part of Dutch competition championships team over 5 times.
