Laura Bos

Level

For the past years, Laura has been a standout player for the U16 and U18-2 teams of De Mezen. Before then, Laura was a member of the lower teams of her club, but through dedication and working hard, she was able to move up to the higher teams and gained playing experience at the Eerste Klasse (the fourth highest level of youth hockey in The Netherlands). She is also regularly asked to sub in for senior level teams at her club, allowing her to get used to gain more playing experience, get used to a more physical style of play, and play at a higher level.

Playing style

Laura is a skilled midfielder with the ability to eliminate and find the open spaces for connecting passes with her teammates. She sticks with the play after passing the ball and has a natural drive to look up the field and go forward. Laura is very motivated to make the most out of her time on the field during practices and games, and will do whatever it takes to win. She has a special drive for personal development and improvement, and does not give up easily.

Additional information

Laura is dedicated to spreading her knowledge of the game. She has been coaching youth teams with younger players from a very young age. During the 2022-2023 season Laura was the head coach of the U12-2 team, becoming league champions.

Academics

Laura graduated from Dutch high school (HAVO) in June 2023. She is expected to take the SAT and Duolingo in the Fall of 2023.
