Lotje Ligthart

Level

Throughout her career Lotje has always played at the highest level of youth hockey (Landelijk). She’s currently one of the go to players on the Victoria U16-1 team, playing in the National League and is frequently asked to practice and play with the U18-1 team. During the 2022-2023 season, Lotje led her team to the semi finals of the U16 National Outdoor Championships and the sweet sixteen of the U16 National Indoor Championships.

Playing style

Lotje is a feisty player with an attacking mindset. She's at her best when going forward with speed and skills, while also keeping an eye for good passes to her teammates. Lotje has a great strong and reverse strike and is not afraid to take shots from multiple angles. She is considered one of the leading players of her team and has the ability to change the pace of the game with an attacking spark and her on-field demeanor.

High performance

During the 2020-2021 season, Lotje was a member of the Dutch youth pipeline teams and selected to the regional U14/U15 teams, allowing her to train and play with the best players of her age group.

Academics

Lotje is expected to graduate high school (HAVO) in July 2024. She will be taking the Duolingo this spring.
