Lucca Stoelinga

Lucca started playing volleyball at the age of 7 years old at PDK Huizen. Now, at the age of 15 he is already part of the highest boys team U18 performing in the Topklasse. 

As a setter for his team, Lucca displays great versatility by also being able to play as an opposite, providing his team with an attacking impulse when needed. In addition, as the captain of his team, he exhibits strong leadership qualities and is willing to take responsibility.

One of his greatest strengths is his ability to improve quickly. When Lucca has a goal, he never gives up, even if it seems impossible. He has made significant progress in recent months in improving his approach and takeoff technique.

During his college years, Lucca is eager to maximize his potential as a volleyball player. Specifically, he wants to improve his serving skills and develop a more powerful swing.

Some of his best results include: 

First place United World Games Klagenfurt (2022, 2023) 

Third place National Championship (2022) 

Lucca is currently enrolled in high school, in the HAVO level (second highest level of high school in The Netherlands) and expects to graduate in June 2025. He hasn’t decided what he wants to major in yet.
