Palle Knijnenburg

Level

Palle is currently playing for the Rotterdamse Studenten Rugby Club, with whom he promoted last season to the Ereklasse, the highest level of rugby in the Netherlands. His experience competing at this elite level demonstrates his exceptional skill and dedication. On top of that, he has leadership qualities that shine through as he not only leads his team in scoring but also serves as captain, keeping his team motivated week in week out. Palle is no stranger to international competition, representing the Dutch National Student Team, with whom he has played multiple international games.

Playing style

Palle excels at positions 13/14, showcasing his adaptability, strength and speed on the field. He is known for his strength and insane speed as a ball carrier, consistently breaking through defenses and making impactful plays which are seen in his highlight video. His greatest strength is being able to stay on his feet whilst breaking through tackles. Standing tall at 187 cm (approximately 6 feet 2 inches) and weighing 100 kg (approximately 225 pounds), Palle receives attention on the field with his imposing presence and athleticism. He loves the gym and is dedicated to become even stronger and faster.

Academics

Palle is working on completing his bachelor's degree in Business Economics from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, showcasing his dedication to both athletics and academics. He received 150 for the Duolingo and has a 3.41 GPA (high school GPA). 

Extracurricular

For the past year Palle has been the treasurer in a board consisting of 5 people, with whom he manages the internal and external operations of his rugby club. He has also been a part-time working student at a real estate company for the past year and a half.
