Quinten is currently training with his local club team, PAC Rotterdam. After several years in the decathlon, he decided to shift his focus to hurdles and long jump in 2021. In the 2024 outdoor season, Quinten secured a second place at both the 400m and 400m hurdles at the Dutch National Track and Field Championships U18. At the Indoor National Championships in 2025, Quinten came in first place at the 400m with a new PB of 48.02. 

His key strength lies in his explosiveness and power, crucial for sprints, hurdles, and long jump. Quinten is actively working on improving his functional strength to address his tendency toward injuries. Before 2021, he was on the shorter side, impacting his progress. However, a growth spurt turned things around, leading to significant improvements in his personal records. For example, he improved his long jump performance by almost one and a half meters between the 2021 and 2023 seasons.

In 2023, Quinten ventured into other events like the 400m and 400m hurdles. Given his relative newness to these events, there’s plenty of room for improvement. During this year he improved his 400m from 52.36 to 49.60 and his time on the 400m hurdles by more than five seconds.
 
His current personal bests are as follows:

– 110m hurdles: 14.51 (2024)

– 400m: 48.02 (2025)

– 400m hurdles: 52.97 (2024)

– Long jump: 6.57 (2024)

Looking ahead in the United States, Quinten aims to continue developing athletically while keeping enjoyment in sports a priority. Currently enrolled in the highest level of high school (VWO) in the Netherlands, he expects to graduate in 2025. Quinten is considering studying history or political science for his academic pursuits.
