Saar van Berckel
Saar van Berckel is a goalkeeper for BHV Push U18-1 She is currently in her fifth year of VWO. Saar is a goalkeeper with great communication skills and a high level of perseverance who is looking to join a Field Hockey program, starting in the Fall of 2024.
About Saar van Berckel
Level
Saar has always played in the selection teams of her clubs, playing at some of the highest levels of Dutch youth hockey throughout her career. She currently plays at the second highest level of Dutch youth hockey (Super A).
Playing style
Saar has a very strong communication style. She puts the defenders into place easily and coaches with a loud voice. Next to that, she has a very quick reaction and often pushes herself to dive and stretch out her full body to stop the ball. Saar has a great understanding of what opponents are planning to do. This makes her very strong when it comes to one-on-one situations. Especially with shootouts, she excels. Saar is a very motivated athlete, always looking for ways to develop, improve and give a 100%.
Academics
Saar is currently in her fifth year of VWO (the highest level of Dutch high school) and is expected to graduate in June 2024. Saar is looking forward to joining a Field Hockey Program, starting in the Fall of 2024.
