Sam Linck

Sam started playing tennis at a serious level from the age of 10, while still combining it with soccer as a multi-sport athlete. At the age of 13, he decided to fully focus on tennis and started training 10+ hours a week, combining it with the highest level of high school in the Netherlands. Sam has always been extremely competitive on the court, reaching a top 10 ranking within his age group, while still aiming for the highest possible results in the classroom.

Sam's biggest strength on the court is most likely his speed and mobility, even though he is pretty tall (6'1). He reads the game very well and knows how to adapt his gamestyle to win matches. Over the last year, he has worked very hard on his serve, which is increasingly becoming a strong weapon for him. This allows him to dictate points more easily, especially on (indoor) hard courts.

Sam competes for TC Zandvoort, which is one of the most prestigious tennis clubs in the Netherlands. Professional players such as Jesper de Jong and Tallon Griekspoor compete for TC Zandvoort as well. In addition to practicing with his club, Sam is coaches by former ATP professional Boy Westerhof. His best results include making a quarter final of the Dutch national championships and some of his most notable recent results include:

During his time in the US, Sam is looking to become the best version of himself. He wants to support his team and become a valuable player in winning championships. His ultimate goal is to become a professional tennis player after college. In the meantime, Sam is looking to get a high quality degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Math, Statistic or Engineering.
