Thomas Geukemeijer

In addition to his passion for tennis, Thomas Geukemeijer is set to graduate from high school in June 2024 at the young age of 17, due to an accelerated flow in Elementary School. With dreams of pursuing higher education in the United States starting in the fall of 2024, he aspires to study economics or business-related, aligning his academic goals with his enthusiasm for the sport.Thomas started playing tennis at the age of 6 in combination with soccer. In 2019, at the age of 12, he reached QF in the Dutch national championships in his age group. Thomas has played for several teams in league competition, both in the Netherlands as in Germany. He has also been a motivating team captain at his home club.

Thomas’s exceptional backhand stands out as his primary weapon. His backhand is known for its consistency, often landing deep close to the baseline. He aspires to enhance this stroke byincorporating more topspin, further improving his game.

Standing at an impressive 6’2”, Thomas has developed a potent serve, adding power and precision to his game. His growth as a player is undeniable, and he continues to hone his skills to excel in both offensive and defensive aspects of the game. While Thomas recognizes the importance of finishing points at the net, he acknowledges that there is room for improvement in his volleys. This young and ambitious player is eager to refine this aspect of his game and become a more versatile competitor.He is looking forward to explore the opportunities in the US and strive for the highest goals, both academically as in tennis.
