His style of play is quintessentially Dutch, characterized by his ability to play the ball with finesse from the back. Currently, he plies his trade for VV Smitshoek U19, showcasing his dedication to the sport. Yannick has already achieved the highest level of high school education and is now in his first year at a university in the Netherlands, majoring in Economics & Business Economics. He is eager to embark on the next phase of his academic and athletic journey by transferring to a program in the Fall of 2023. Yannick's personal traits are underscored by his unwavering work ethic and his commitment to both soccer and education. Yannick Langerhuizen is a quintessential Dutch defender, characterized by his comfort on the ball and his ability to orchestrate play from the back. He excels in building up the attack from a deep-lying position, unafraid to drive into the midfield or find a teammate between the lines. Despite being right-footed, he is equally comfortable on the left side of the center and adept at using his left foot. In June 2022 Yannick joined Slamstox on a trip to Boston, MA where we played in the ID World Cup organized by Tiro Sports. He wore the #4 jersey for team Central Europe who went on to the semi-finals, eventually winning 3rd place. He also won best central defender of the tournament.
