Jan Quispel (2002) is a multifunctional midfielder that currently plays in the Netherlands for the reserves of professional club FC Emmen. He has finished his High School in the Fall of 2021, and is in his 2nd year of University in the Netherlands. At the end of this Spring he is expected to have 72 US credits. He is looking to transfer for the Fall of 2023 with 3 years of eligibility left.
We know Jan to be a fully dedicated, extremely hard working student-athlete who has thrived in the Netherlands with the combination of University and playing at the highest levels in his age group. He is looking to join a high level program in the Fall of 2023.
Jan has played at the professional level from a young age. He started at FC Twente from U11 until U17. He then chose to play for PEC Zwolle where he played for two seasons and made his first team debut. After that he made the move to FC Emmen where he is the captain right now of the reserves, and has also made his first team debut and was with the first team during the full pre-season. Jan is a multifunctional midfielder that likes to have the ball at his feet. His experience at the highest level from a young age until now makes him extremely comfortable against any opponent. He is calm under pressure and plays the ball to a teammate knowing they can do something with it. His technique on the ball is second to none and his passing ability is exceptional. His speed and acceleration is something not many midfielders have, and he can use that to make smart runs behind the defense to stretch the playing field. When he gets the opportunity he uses his shooting technique and calmness in front of goal to finish with ease. Jan leads by example, always works hard and uses his coaches to keep his team in shape on the field.
