Hester Sicking

Hester Sicking is a Dutch golf player interested in joining an ambitious college golf team in the Fall of 2020. Hester graduated from high school in the spring of 2019 . She currently lives in Spain where she trains at a professional golf academy for a gap year with a full focus on her golf game.

In a short period of time she improved her game significantly. When she was 17 years old, Hester was invited to play in the first ladies’ team of the Noordwijkse Golfclub, and went on to win the National team championship that year. That year she ranked 16th on the Dutch Ladies ranking and was invited in a team of three to play the European Club Trophy.

Hester started playing golf at the age of 13. She practices very hard and wants to be the best golfer she can be. She is currently ranked 667 U21 on the EGR and her scoring average is 77. In 2019 she became 9th at the Dutch Youth Nationals U18, 13th at the Dutch Ladies Amateur, won the club championship at her homecourse with a scoring average of 75 over 3 days and last January she played the Copa Andalucia in Spain with a scoring average of 76 over 4 days.

The strengths of Hester include her powerful swing, with a club head speed over 100 mph, and a great control over her wedge game. Her ultimate goal is to become a professional golfer and play on the LPGA Tour.
