A versatile player with international ambitions
Djordy Lefevere is a driven central defender and midfielder who received his soccer training at the FC Eindhoven U18 youth academy. With his down-to-earth attitude, hard work and coachable mentality, Djordy knows how to distinguish himself on and off the field. After finishing high school at Sint-Joris College in Eindhoven, he started studying Sports Marketing in the Netherlands, but his dream went further: gaining international experience and studying in the US.
On the field, Djordy is known for his strong defensive skills, clever positioning and excellent game insight. As captain at FC Eindhoven, he was the link between defense and midfield.
The move to America
Together with Slamstox, Djordy set out to find the right sport and study combination in the United States. Due to his young age and the difference in entry level, a Junior College turned out to be the ideal intermediate step. After careful selection, he chose Northwest College, where he entered with a combination of an academic and athletic scholarship.
A process with bumps and growth
Finding the right school was not obvious: Djordy had little contact with coaches at first, and the level of sports posed a challenge. Thanks to intensive guidance from Slamstox – both in terms of advice and paperwork – the best plan was eventually put in place. Djordy chose an environment where he could grow, gain experience and get lots of minutes.

Quickly getting used to the American system
Although it took some getting used to in the beginning, Djordy quickly found his niche in the U.S.. Both on the field and in the classrooms, he showed what he was made of. His hard work did not go unnoticed: after his first semester, he was included on the President’s Honor Roll, an academic recognition for students with exceptional results.
“Djordy is a talented player with tremendous drive. He is young, but shows he is serious about his future – both as an athlete and as a student.”
Future
Djordy’s story is just beginning. His goal is to further develop and eventually advance to a higher level within American college soccer. With his strong foundation, dedication and experience from the Dutch youth academy, he is determined to make his athletic and academic dreams come true.
