A field hockey family with a lot of talent
Josephine Veen comes from a real field hockey family. Her father, Stephan Veen, is one of the best field hockey players the Netherlands has ever known and has won two Olympic gold medals. Josephine herself has also made her mark in the field hockey world. She played in the Netherlands at the highest national level with Schaerweijde, where she always played in the selection teams. Her enormous talent, perseverance and dedication to the game quickly made her a rising star in the Dutch field hockey world.
Study and sport in perfect harmony
Josephine is not only an outstanding field hockey talent, but also academically strong. This was essential for her in making the decision to go to the United States. Josephine has become a key player for Duke’s team. Under her influence, the team has made huge strides and managed to achieve a top 5 ranking in Division 1. Her dedication, skills and constant development make her a determining factor in the team’s success.
