From the Netherlands to America: the ambition of Boaz
Boaz Hoeveman began his basketball journey in the Netherlands, where he played for Woodpeckers and UBall in Utrecht. His passion and dedication to the game soon became apparent, and Boaz decided to further develop his ambitions by playing in the USA. Based on his academic background, age and talent, the choice was made to find a boarding school that would help him in his development.

After researching several options, the choice fell on Andrew Osborne Academy. This school offers Boaz the chance to develop fully and get a lot of playing time. There he can prepare for advancement to a NCAA university, which will allow him to realize his goal of playing at the highest level in the US.
A strong player profile
Boaz’s basketball journey began about nine years ago at his local club Woodpeckers, after which he joined UBall, a well-known basketball team in Utrecht. His impressive performance did not go unnoticed, and in 2023 he made the pre-selection for the national team. He was also named UBall’s Most Valuable Player and Most Respected Player in 2022.

What Boaz particularly likes about his experience in the USA is the team culture and the opportunity to continue to grow as a player. He is determined to improve his skills and continues to work passionately to achieve his goals.
