A swimming career full of dedication
Lasse started swimming when he was 11 years old. Soon his passion for the sport grew and swimming became a regular part of his life. With a lot of discipline, perseverance and training hours, he managed to keep developing. In recent years he constantly improved his personal records and became a regular name at the Dutch championships.

A dream with a mission
Lasse had a clear goal in mind: to combine studying and playing sports at a university in the United States. His ultimate dream? Making it to the Olympics. Despite a setback in high school, where he initially failed, he persevered, completed his social studies in September and still managed to leave for America in January.
Start in America
In January 2025, Lasse began his adventure at Davis & Elkins College. The transition went smoothly: Lasse quickly felt at home on the team and managed to positively distinguish himself within the first few months. He now combines studying and top-level sports at a high level, exactly what he had always envisioned.
Although Lasse arranged much himself together with his mother, Slamstox played a supporting role in the paperwork and process surrounding his placement. The quick turnaround and personal contact made all the difference in a crucial phase of his journey.
