The road to college tennis
Dilay began her academic route in the Netherlands at MAVO and then moved on to MBO, where she earned her degree as a Marketing & Communication Specialist. Besides her studies, tennis was always an important factor in her life. With the ambition to combine sports and studies at a high level, the idea of making the move to America was born.
Goals and ambitions
Dilay had clear goals in mind: securing an athletic scholarship, playing at the highest level and combining her studies with top sports. As a so-called “legend client,” she chose to outsource the entire process and be guided through the process toward college tennis.
Slamstox played an important role in Dilay’s journey by supervising the entire process. From contacting coaches to arranging all practical matters, everything was taken out of her hands. This gave Dilay space to focus on her sport and preparation.
The process
What struck me most during the process was Dilay’s enthusiasm. She was always easy to reach, actively thought along and was looking forward to her adventure in America. Her positive attitude ensured that the process went smoothly.

Dilay eventually made the move to the University of Central Oklahoma, where she is a member of the women’s tennis team. Here she found the perfect combination between academic development and high-level sports.
With her perseverance and motivation, Dilay has taken a great step toward a successful future both on and off the court.
